Millennium Development Goals: India’s Current Scenario, 10th September 2014


Dept. of Economics, RRDS GDC, Bhimavaram organised a State level seminar on ‘Millennium Development Goals: India’s Current Scenario‘ . This is the first-ever state level event in the 42-year college history. The Inaugural session was chaired by Sri M. Padmanabham, Principal FAC. The chief guest is Dr. M. Srinivasa Prasad, Chairman DRC, WG Dt. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Kappaganthula Surya Rao, former Director, PG courses, DNR College, Bhimavaram. The souvenir was released by the chief guest. At the end, mementos were presented to the guests. In the Pannel discussion, Prof. B. Lalithananda Prasad from Guntur, Sri D. Somasunder, APUWJ, Sri Manoranjan, DYC, Nehru Yuvakendra, Warangal and Sri G. Manikyala rao, President, Kindness society, TP Gudem acted as the resource persons. The students had interaction with the resource persons. 32 papers from the faculty of different colleges in AP & Telangana were included in the souvenir. During the technical session, 13 papers were presented and out of these, 3 were presented with the help of PPT. In the valedictory, mementos were presented to the resource persons. And the vote of thanks was proposed by Smt. K. Swaruparani, Convener of the seminar. All the faculty and students actively worked for the success of the seminar. As a result, the seminar went off well spreading joy to one and all. It served the purpose by being a right platform for deliberations and exchange of views on the seminar topic. All appreciated the college for choosing such a contemporaneous topic of global importance. with due thanks to all the guests and participants, a few clippings are attached herewith.
